We have recently gotten a 7 month old puppy, I live with my parents and there are 3 of us, and we are all responsible adults. We also have 3 cats, one is almost 6 and the other 2 are about 3. I absolutely LOVE our new dog, she is so sweet. I also extremely LOVE my cats, who are also so sweet. Everyone is adjusting fine, that part is going great. We have utilized many tips from our veterinarian. I’m ultimately worried that our cats won’t love us anymore. Like they won’t sit on our laps anymore or lay in our beds or things like that. I know I’m being a little paranoid as it has only been like a day and a half, but still. Prior to this, my cats have lived with and grew up with a dog. She was much older and calmer though, and they were brought into her home, the new dog was brought into theirs, if that makes sense. My point is, they are used to a dog, just not a hyper one. I love all my animals dearly. This is just harder than I thought it would be. I don’t know what I’m looking for here, or what my point is. I think maybe just reassurance and to share my frustration. Thank you.
