Today our old cat Tuna had her age catch up to her. My husband and I believe she’s always had a bit of dementia but it was hard to tell because she was an overall healthy cat.
Everything changed in a span of 12 hours and she started to fade in front of us. It was traumatizing to watch my fur baby having seizures and there was absolutely nothing we could do. We had assumed the vet would put her down but not even that could prepare us. She passed in the carrier as we waited for the vet. She wasn’t acting like her anymore and I’m relieved she passed with us. Due to covid, I’m sure that even if they would euthanize her, we wouldn’t have been able to be there with her.
The house feels so empty and there’s a hole in my heart.
