so like the title says, he’s pacing non stop, excessively panting, crying quietly here and there and staring at me while I try to let him, until he walks away and paces some more.
This has been happening with more frequency at NIGHT over the last year, so it’s taken a toll on my sleep schedule since he will usually also ask to go outside several times, but in the last week, this has also been happening during the day. The last 24-48 hours, it’s been non stop, except for a few hours here and there where he eats/drinks water and/or sleeps randomly for a few hours. Basically it’s like 4th of July firework anxiety or something...without the fireworks.
I’ve tried giving him methocarbamol (Given by his vet during his last visit for arthritis), and at this point it’s not even knocking him out.
I’m ready to see a vet of course, but I don’t want to just drug him up either. Any thoughts/ advice from fellow senior pet owners would b helpful thank you.
