I have a one year old male cat who is evidently incapable of putting wet food chunks into his mouth. He just keeps on licking it like water, gets all the gravy, eventually some food goes into his mouth by accident, and that's about it. I guess he gets annoyed by the entire thing and gives up by scratching the floor next to his bowl.
I don't know where the problem is and when it appeared. He always ate relatively same type of wet food and didn't have any particular issues with it. He's evidently hungry. I still took him to the vet to rule out any diseases and he's perfectly healthy.
