I made the decision to put my hamster down. She lived with me for 1.5 years (so probably 2 years old), and developed what was seemingly wet tail a few days ago). By the time I noticed, she seemed extremely lethargic and could barely walk. I considered taking her to the vet but I really didn’t want to put her through that stress with the Cold weather, plus it probably wouldn’t have fixed anything. I’m going away for the weekend too so I didn’t want to prolong her suffering. I have immense guilt. She was still eating and drinking a tad bit but she had diarrhea all over her bottom and seemed like she was suffering immensely.
