I have a 10 year old Pixie-bob. He was a stray that probably lived out in the streets for about a year before we took him in. Not neutered. Hasn't mated with another(that I know of).
He likes sleeping on elevated areas (as all cats do), and recently, he found a rug placed on a broken chair that he likes a lot. He would always jump onto the rug and start kneading. We didn't notice it at first but my brother pointed out that my cat's rear would tremble, and when we sat to look at him, we noticed that his penis was out. Whenever we'd approach him while he's doing this, he meows in a shrill manner. I'm not sure what the type of meow is called. It's not a trill or a chirp.
Is he just aroused or longing to find a mate? And, is it too late to have him neutered?
He's been doing this for over 6 months now.
