Hello all, appreciate anything that anyone has to say.
About 2 years ago, I found a stray kitten in an alley. I was able to get his attention and he did not want to leave me feet. After long enough, I grabbed him and brought him with me into the car. Got him food and the basics.
Next day, took him to the vet and got him clean and cleared medically.
Bring him home, parents arrive from a Cruise and well, foreign parents can at times have a hard time with pets, especially surprise ones.
Due to my absence from the house cuz of work, majority of Lucky's earlier years was spent getting attached to my dad, who ironically, most opposed to the cat. Now he was chosen as the favourite. Him and my dad are buddies day in and out. Lucky (cat) is always following him around and staying close.
My mom is the third, and I'm the second most favorable.
Now for the question: Now that it's been two years, I am preparing myself for a big move out of the city and into a new one. It would break my heart to give my Cat depression by leaving to a new home without my dad, so thought about leaving it at my parent's house.
Problem is, there's a chance there won't be a home to leave it in by the time I pack up shop.
If I bring him with me, will I hurt him by losing his connection to my dad? Or will he be okay and heal? Do cats get seperation depression?
Just want my lil man's to be alright.
Thank you
