Anyone else's dog gone through something like this?

My pup is a ~2.5yr old Yellow Lab.

Yesterday, about half a dozen times she would just randomly jump/twitch like she was startled from something. Most of the time seemingly related to our carpet in the living room. As far as we could tell, there were no audible (to us) sounds that occurred any of the times. She kept doing that timid stretch-and-sniff type thing like she was unsure what was there.

Same thing in the basement. She was lying on the couch with me and was like on high alert "watching" the carpet. Then jumped down and did the stretch-and-sniff thing in a couple of spots.

She's never been an anxious dog before, and hasn't had any life changes recently. Other than these odd startled moments, she's been eating, drinking, sleeping, and playing normally.

Tried vacuuming all the carpet w/ pet odor eliminating powder to see if there was some scent she was wary of that got tracked in by her or us. But she's done the startled thing a couple times today as well, post-vacuum.

Only thing I can come up with is that she's got floaters or something in her eye(s) that's making it seem like something is there when it's not. But from what I've read, it's rare at my dog's age.

I'm racking my brain trying to think of any other event recently that all the sudden would've made her fearful of the carpet. She's not really the scared type...thunder and fireworks barely phase her.

Any thoughts? Was gonna observe through the weekend to see if it's ongoing and then call the vet early next week for ideas if it continues. As you can understand, just concerned as this is abnormal behavior. She's not a skittish dog.
