We just moved in recently and are looking at getting a doggy. I'm super excited and want to have everything prepared, especially if there is a home visit from the rescue. The previous owners had a dog and, as far as I know, didn't have any issues. However, in some spots (not many) there are gaps underneath the fence. Im not 100% if it is large enough for a dog to slip through, but I do not want to take my chances.
The previous owner had it blocked off with wood. Like, literally just big pieces of thin wood laying against the spots to prevent any potential escape. What scares me is that maybe a dog could move it? Or maybe a storm could make it tip? I want something affixed firmly.
I saw Dog Defence on Facebook and looked into it. It seems great, but the price seems rather... high for it? If it's worth it I'll do it, but I wanted to see what other options I may have.
Aside from that, the last homeowners left some large bricks (like 6 inches high) in the backyard in a pile. I may just stack some of those up, although it may not be as pretty.
