So sources are saying this year will be bad for ticks. My cat doesn't go outside, but I and my boyfriend often go hiking outdoors. We have started to spray our clothes with insect repellent, but still worried we'll bring a tick home.
The other day we were sitting on the couch and my boyfriend found a tick walking along our end table. It was the only one we found, it was the day after we went on a hike. I didn't see any ticks on me and him when we came in, but he might have hid somewhere, or he got in from other means.
I know wood ticks aren't the ones to be worried about, but I'm still concerned. There is no vaccine for cats to protect them from lyme disease right? I know my cat is up to date on all her shots.
Any thoughts?
