When I try to play with my cat using a wand toy he does the normal thing of hiding and watching. Then when he jumps out to catch it if I try to pull it away he doesn’t try to chase it, just walks away. But if I leave it there he jumps on it, doesn’t grab it, just makes a weird small sound. Not a meow, more like a short trill and walks away. I don’t know if he’s frustrated because I’m not playing the way he wants, or if something is wrong. At first I thought maybe it was his bell. Like he knows that his cover is blown. So I take off his collar, yet the same thing happens. The only way I can get him to jump for the toy is if I flick it around really fast, but then he loses interest pretty fast and lays down. What am I doing wrong?
