My boyfriend and I just adopted a sweet 3 month old male kitten. He’s super affectionate and was neutered 3 days ago (prior to us adopting him). When we took him home, he ate, drank water, and used the litter box fine, but he has been pooping out liquid since yesterday. We have a vet appointment scheduled for tomorrow, I initially thought it was possibly adjusting to his new environment and was nervous, but I don’t think that’s the case. We have another cat who’s 11 months and they have been smelling each other since i interchangeably spend equal amounts of time with them. I’m not sure what could be the cause besides obvious stomach bug or some GI issue, but he won’t stop meowing.
I know kittens meow but it’s more than usual and he normally meows when he wants attention. Now he’s just meowing almost as if he’s in pain? He also hasn’t eaten much food today (last time he ate was around 12-1 pm EST) and same with water (approximately same time) from what I’ve noticed.
I’m sure we’ll figure out the issue tomorrow, I just get paranoid over my fur children. Thank you in advance :)
