Hey! My kitten got spay / neutered last Friday, but she had a hernia as well that had to be fixed. The incision was bigger than normal, and when her brother was spayed he wore his cone for 10 days.
Today is her 10th day in the cone and I was going to take it off this morning, but I wasn’t sure if it was safe to do that yet. All of the incision has healed so far, but there’s this tiny spot at the bottoms that still feels a bit hard : like a scab and I’m not sure if it is safe to remove the cone yet.
I know the healing time is usually 10-14 days, so I wasn’t sure if I should wait another day or two or not. It doesn’t LOOK like a scab, there isn’t any blood or dried blood. Should I take it off & let her do her thing or wait longer? Thanks!
