Hey all, picking up my new adopted kitten from the vet's office after he is neutered tomorrow. I decided to get another kitten because the current one I have at home is incredibly active and with human quarantine coming to an end I think she would benefit greatly from having a companion when I can no longer be home most of the day anymore. My old kitten is about 9 months old and this new kitten is about 7 weeks old. I was just looking for some advice on how to quarantine these two and how long is appropriate. I bought a bunch of separate stuff for the new kitten and will have her set up in my office at home but my concern is that my old kitten, who is incredibly needy, will be pretty stressed out if I just spend most of the day taking care of the new kitten and trying to familiarize myself to him. I have an appointment already set up with my veterinarian to get him checked up as soon as he is recovered from being neutered and I have requested a medical breakdown from the adoption center of what shots hes had/any history of sickness hes had. Just wondering what tips you guys might have to make sure both cats are happy and healthy while I have to separate my time between the two for their first days together.
