Hello,
I have a 14 year old tabby cat, who weighs 9 pounds.
We are scheduled to have a tooth (teeth?) extraction for Whiskers.
What is the rule regarding no food or water before the surgery? I have been attempting to give my cat a liquid antibiotic with mixed results, it's been tough but sometimes Whiskers does take the medicine, other times she runs away before we are through.
I've been doing lots of reading, and it seems that this procedure is relatively safe, but I am worried about the use of anesthesia of my cat due to her age.
Any feedback is appreciated!
