Vet missed an obvious issue?

i took my adult male cat to the vet monday (4/12), and i told them he acted like he was in pain when i touched his hindquarters. when we were in the vets office waiting he made a bit of a mess, a mix of blood and diarrhea. they did blood tests and a urine test and everything was normal besides levels indicating slight anemia and inflammation. they just went with a UTI. gave us the medicine for it. even when i asked about the pain near his rear end they just kinda shrugged. but tonight, wednesday (4/14), i came home from work to find several blood spots on the floor, and after checking my cat out i found a dime sized sore below his anus. i’m not sure if sore is the right word for it? it’s kind of a wound. im taking him back to the vets tomorrow. but what i came here to ask is is there anyway for me to hold the vet accountable for not catching this? i already paid a few hundreds dollars for those (pointless) tests and medicine and i can imagine i’ll have to pay for whatever the next tests/ treatments are. i don’t want to seem like a /karen/ by any means but as for most people right now money is real tight lol and i’m just really frustrated. any advice would be appreciated, thank you
