It's a sad topic but... I was recently updating my will and realized that I don't know who I would choose to take care of my 2 cats (both male, 8yrs & 4yrs), if I die. I live alone and work from home, so they're both very clingy. I have heard of animal trust funds but I'm not even sure who I would get to be the executor. My family is small and I'm the only one who loves animals. I have a niece who would take them but she's very young (just started college). I wouldn't want to burden her with such a responsibility. It's also important that my boys stay together.
Most of my friends have their own pets, not to mention children and such busy lives with work and all. I just don't trust that my cats will be ok with them. Has anyone gone through this? All suggestions welcome. Thanks!
