Hi. My mom broke her leg badly so I’m staying with her to help out. She has a large (to me) lab mix dog that she obviously can’t take for walks right now. The dog is nice enough, but I’m not experienced with being around dogs and I’m not super comfortable with her. She’s trained well, but she doesn’t like small dogs and she barks at them if they walk by the house. On walks I’ve just moved away if I see any other dog coming, though my mom says she won’t attack other dogs.
I guess I’m just looking for any advice on caring for this dog. I’m just not a dog person and it’s pretty intimidating at the moment. Thanks for any help!
