Ok...I didnt think I would be writing this. We adopted a 2 yr old cat yesterday who is amazing. She was @ the shelter almost a year and with a foster for months. She had 2 asthma attacks...both were assumed stress induced by other cats, so she needed to be in a solo cat home to calm her. She has been completely fine except for not sleeping because of adjustment, but an hour ago we had a scary moment. We live in a 1st Floor Apartment and have ferel cats around that an old lady feeds. Last night we heard a horrid scream and ran in the living room. A wild cat came up to the window and it freaked her out bad, she was fine but the window is really high and she jumped down and was freaked. She finally calmed down but I have these questions because im not selfish with this girls life. She has a foster mom that was gonna take her when she moved in August out of state, so she has a safe place to go if needed. -Do I risk her having an accident from the fall or an induced asthma attack by keeeping her?
-Since shes not 100% comfy yet, isnt it selfish to give her time to connect deeper with us only to risk having to give her up in the coming days or weeks, making it harder for her and us?
Please...give a response, I want to do the right thing.
