So my vet says my cat has bad dental disease and all her teeth will need to be removed. He said it would be about 1k.
I don't necessarily not believe him. My cats breath smells horrid, and I noticed yesterday she had a bit of drool when she sleeps, I feel it could be related. Also, she just looks sad or isnt as happy as when I first got her. I do feel something is off with her. She was a stray when a baby and had been hit by a car.
But my surprise is that all her teeth need to be removed. Shes very skiddish so it's hard for me to check her mouth.
From what I recall, I dont think they gave her an xray of her mouth just visual inspection but they gave her bloodwork which was okay at the time (about a month ago).
My vets clinic has like 5/5 on google lol, so I am thinking to just do it but wondering if I should get a 2nd opinion.
Any advice? Is there anything I can check in her mouth for myself?
Thank you.
