I adopted a cat in early April he is a year old and neutered. He is usually very sweet in temperament but about two weeks after getting him he peed on multiple things in my room I think out of spite. I let it go, cleaned the mess and haven’t had an issue until my husband went in our room today and smelled pee. He peed all over my wedding dress and another special dress I had hanging up in my closet which ultimately had to be thrown away. I’m really starting to hate him and am having a baby in 2 weeks, he is good with my other children but I will lose my shit if he pees on my newborns things. I’ve never had this issue with an animal before and it honestly makes me want to drive him to a dirt road and leave him in the wild. I don’t even like looking at him at this point, don’t want him near me and shoo him away anytime he tries to come next to me. He could accidentally get out and if I found him on the side of the road I wouldn’t even care at this point and I’ve never had this type of hatred towards any pet I’ve ever had. Idk what to do and don’t think I can return him to the shelter in which I got him from.
