my boyfriend and i recently adopted our first kitten (8 weeks old) and have had him for the last week. he is absolutely amazing, but since he is so little we are afraid to sleep when he is awake. obviously, this has lead to a lot of missed sleep. to solve this issue, we want to wake him from his long evening nap (about 5 hours) so that he will sleep through the night. i know kittens need lots of sleep, and i was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this method, alternative methods to try, or their own experiences with this issue.
