So I bought my firsr parakeet in june 2019, a boy, and later in december I bought a girl and put them together in the same cage. Unfortunately I was so immature and me and my little brother have forced them to accomodate with us, eventually scaring them because we kept touching them even when they were uncomfortable. We harassed them a lot until late 2020 when my mom decided to send them to my grandparents at the countryside idk why exactly. Now we are in june 2021 and she brought them back home. This time I decided to be gentle and not make them suffer anymore and advised my brother to do so too. I just hate to see that they re constantly scared when I'm around and that they see us as a threat. Is there any way to make them become comfortable with us ? I feel so bad for what I've done to them, but I was just a selfish child. Is it too late to befriend them?
