My shadow got bit by a rattlesnake today before we were gonna go feeishin’. He was on his leash and I only left him alone for 15 seconds to grab the bait from my fridge. I go back to my neighbors place to posse up and head out to get our fishing on and my Buds face was super swol. We didn’t see any snakes nor did his gangster self make as little as a peep. I’m still baffled as to where and when he was bit. Luckily a couple weeks back I got him the preventative snake bite shot. The Fresno Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center saved my Buds life today and I’d like to thank them as I can not go on in life without my shadow. This ain’t a promo, I sincerely thank them from the bottom of my little heart and they were more than reasonable. They even gave me a bit of a refund when they didn’t use some of the quoted treatment. It set me back like $1,500 but my Buds life is more important than mine. Now we enter the AITA part of my post. I was scraping funds to pay the bill. I was denied credit through their suggested coverage option. I had to take the not necessary treatment option due to lack of money on my part. He should be ok because he’s a tough mf’er. BUT, when asking my Mom for help to float the bill for just a few days before I get my unemployment payment, she said no. I asked the women at the vet if their parents would do the same and they said NO! I try to not take stuff personal with family, but man... Really? Am I the A Hole for resenting my Moms decision or is she just a cold hearted b? I can go on and on, but wtf? When you ask her what’s most important to her in life, it would be family. Is this just a Boomer Syndrome or what? Luckily I was able to get a $320 loan from my brother temporarily to cover the cost of the sub par treatment. AITA for resenting my Mom?
