I’m thinking about getting a leopard gecko in a few months, how can I prepare?

I’ve had two fur babies for almost 7 years, and lately I’ve been thinking about adopting another little critter.

I’m thinking of getting a leopard gecko, or another species of gecko, in a couple of months. Since I have quite a bit of time to prepare, I wanted to come on here and ask any reptile-parent users for some advice.

What size tank should I get? Is there a specific place I should get a heat lamp/rock from? What kind of terrain should I put inside the tank?

Please let me know, I’m open to all kinds of suggestions.
