Kitten Comfortable Being Alone?

Hey all!

I’ve had pets my entire life growing up, but recently adopted a rag doll kitten a week ago and WOW! It’s different when the animal is your own.

My fiancé and work from home most of the time so we can play with him as he needs for most of the day.

I was wondering how to limit or prevent separation anxiety with him? He seems to be fine when we’ve left him alone (most days it’s been an hour, but one day was around 5 hours). Most days we make sure to tire him out before leaving, and when we come back he’s still sleeping or just waking up.

Today, when we left he wasn’t fully tired and was crying a little as we left. But, when we got home he was just sitting on my computer chair, maybe sleeping?

He’s only 12 weeks so I know he’s still a baby, and baby’s cry but I want to make sure you were doing this right and helping limit or prevent separation anxiety.
