Parents with pets.. how do you do it?

I'm the proud mom of a four month old daughter, two dogs, a cat, and four chickens. The dogs are both young, big, and have endless energy, and easily require more work than my infant daughter. We also try to give the chickens free time outside the coop every day but since everything wants to eat them, we have to stay with them.

I love our animals, but I'm wiped out. I work full time and my husband commutes an hour each way. I'm also nursing, so my schedule is this: wake up, pump, go to work, work, come home, pump while holding baby, play with dogs while holding baby, spend time with chickens, cook, eat dinner, put baby to bed, clean, pump, then bed.

I told my husband that I'm overwhelmed and I'm at my breaking point. I'm unhappy and I'm worried that it's affecting my child and the pets. He keeps saying it'll get better, but I'm wiped out. I've always judged people who re-home their pets but I see now that was massively unfair of me.. at some point is it better for everyone, including the dogs, to admit defeat and find them a home that could give them the attention they deserve?
