I'm usually not concerned with this sort of issues, but how is a shock collar any better, morally, than giving your dog a whack with a newspaper?
Not advocating for pet violence, I just think shock collars are a kinda "violent" method of negative reinforcement.
I'm not a good dog trainer neither, so I'm talking out of my butt, I've just kinda let my puppy run loose, except with basic potty training.
