Helping pets adjust to cat passing away - need advice

My poor, sweet Moose is crossing the rainbow bridge tomorrow night. He has been suffering from cancer which has caused his ear to essentially die. The only real solution is to completely amputate the ear. He already has other health issues that he’s had since birth, and now he’s lethargic, unable to keep any food down and in a lot of pain. It’s honestly killing me doing this but I feel terrible making him suffer anymore. I do have a border collie, Mater, who has had Moose in his life since he was 2 and another cat, Oliver, who has had Moose in his life since I brought him home. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on how to help Mater and Oliver cope with the loss of Moose? As much as it’s killing me, I can only imagine the loss that Mater and Oliver are going to feel.
