My 13 year old French Bulldog died suddenly yesterday in a pretty horrific fashion in front of my two kids (9 & 7). I guess I just would like to understand what happened. We did not have a post mortem done.
Sunday she was behaving oddly but she does that sometimes when her stomach would be upset. She eventually vomited and seemed okay. The next morning she was laying in the grass and after an hour or so I went out to get her because it was starting to get warm and she couldn’t walk, she kept collapsing. I brought her inside and laid her on a blanket. I then went to get my kids breakfast and she had messed herself (#2) and I ran to get a towel to take her back outside and when I got back she was what appeared to be convulsing and there was clear kind of frothy looking liquid everywhere and when she stopped moving she wasn’t breathing and had died. There was no pulse.
I guess I’d like to also be able to explain it to my kids to. Any input is appreciated. Thanks
