My 13M, neutered dog will not stop licking his paws. Vets haven't been able to identify anything wrong. There's not real pattern to when he does it. He will lick them until the fur has come off and then more until they're raw. We've tried socks but they don't stay on and don't seem fair or potentially dangerous in this heat.
We've thought maybe hayfever? Or some undiagnosed pain (but he seems fine apart from some general old age stuff like stiff joints).
Has anyone had this? Any ideas/recommendations?
