‼️Advice needed‼️

Hello everyone, I am in dire need of some advice. On October 31st of 2019, I paid a woman who had great reviews for a Maine Coon kitten. The cost was high, but I saved for a long time. The kitten costed $1,350. I paid in installments of about $475 each payment.

Well, on January 23rd of 2020, we were getting ready to have him delivered to our house. Apparently, the kitten had died due to a reaction from the shots the day before he was supposed to arrive at our house. She offered me a replacement kitten, however I declined as we had gotten another from a different breeder and wanted them to grow up together... I asked for a refund, in which she at first declined, saying it was a contract thing, but I was never given a contract to sign in the end. So she then agreed.

Anyways, we are at a loss. It’s been 6 weeks and a few days of hardly any communication, no update whatsoever on the refund... I only have until April 15th or so to force a refund on PayPal.

What do you guys think? Should I file a claim on PayPal? Should I wait on her? Should I get the other kitten instead of waiting any longer?

I’m 16 by the way, and I saved the money for a long time on my own. My grandparents are extremely worried and angry about the situation, and also suggested I post on some sort of pet advice groups...
