I got my two cats (M, 5 months & F, 3 months) three days ago. Because they had both been fostered in a home with a lot of other cats and had been used to litter boxes, they started using the litter box at my house almost immediately. I didn't have to train them. Last night, though, the boy went and pooped on one of our bean bags. He's had diarrhoea almost since we got him. Considering that he had just moved to a new house, we thought it might be stress. We had also given him some extra food on the first couple of days, so we thought it could be over-eating too. Now, I'm not too sure. I definitely want to take him to the vet, although he's still wary and doesn't allow any of us too close to him, so we're not sure how long we'll have to wait before we are able to pick him up, put him in his carrier and take him.
But my questions is, could the pooping outside the litter box be because he couldn't make it in time to the litter box, which is in another room? this was also very watery poop, so I'm thinking it may be. But I'm also worried that this could be a behavioural issue. One time when he pooped yesterday, he didn't cover it. What does that mean?
The girl's poops are all normal, thankfully.
