Concerned for my cat’s health
Hey all, I’m living in New Jersey, I have a 10 Month Old, Domestic Short Hair and something is not right. Just last night, he completely switched and is a cat I can’t even recognize.
He sleeps for hours and hours on end which is unlike him. He usually loves to sit on the window sill and stare out but he hasn’t even done that. He attempted to jump up onto our bed (not even 2 feet off the ground) and couldn’t do it. It was like he lost muscle strength in his hind legs or something. Hasn’t eaten or drank and is uninterested in everything going on around him.
Been feeding him the same brand of dry food (Purina) and wet food (Friskies) for as long as we had him and was able to eat solid food. We’ve had him since he was a month old.
Hasn’t vomited, no diarrhea. Saw vets that said he was completely fine, nothing abnormal in tests, full range of motion, no muscle tear, nothing. They said he “Probably slept wrong.”
I just don’t get it. Moved in to a new place a month and a half ago. He adjusted very well. We had gotten a new cat a week ago, 5 months old but she was completely healthy, saw a vet and everything and is still very healthy now. They get along just fine and they play often.
I’m so scared, I don’t know what’s wrong. Is anyone else experiencing this?
