I have a 4 and a half month old half blue tick coonhound half blue heeler puppy that is my pride and joy. I work with training her every day and she is very gentle by nature. I’ve almost trained all the puppy bites out of her and she’s found the appropriate level of play with all the other cats and dogs with the exception of my youngest cat.
I have three male cats and one female. My puppy is very aggressive with the youngest male cat. Obviously I always break them up. However, my husband and I have been concerned that it may be the coloration of the cat that upsets my dog. He is a grey and black tabby. His tail looks like a raccoon’s tail.
Does anyone have any experience with this type of thing? Either pets being aggressive towards just one of your other pets or possibly confusing their natural instincts?
