A year ago we adopted a four year old Mini Australian Shepard. She was very skittish due to having been rescued from an abusive situation.
She has come a long way since we got her and she is now very playful, social, and happy.
About a week ago she started shaking and panting while we were trying to go to sleep. She’s done this every night since. She vibrates the entire bed!
The rest of the day, she’s fine. If I take her into a different room, she’s fine. But if we’re trying to go to sleep, in our dark, quiet room, she shakes until she finally falls asleep, often taking over an hour.
Like I said, we’ve had her for over a year, and this just started about a week ago. Nothing has changed in our bedroom. Nothing traumatic has occurred.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
