I am trying to find more information about allergy shots for pets (specifically for my cat) but everything I find online is about shots for humans who have pet allergies.
My cat has allergies to a lot of things: dust, mold, etc. She scratches her skin a lot due to it. My vet has recommended we formulate an allergy shot for her. My vet says it has a 75%+ chance of "curing" the allergies, but it takes up to 24 months of regular injections to work. My cat is terrified of the vet and I'm worried about what that many visits to the vet will do to her psychologically. The vet is also 1.5 hrs away.
I was wondering if any of you have had experiences with allergy vaccines for pets?
