Fleas for FOUR years

I’m at my limit lol

i rescued a kitten 4 years ago and unfortunately he had fleas which he gave to my cat. I took them to the vet to get a flea bath. 4 years later i still have fleas in my home. They bite me, they end up in my clothes, in my food, and of course are harassing my cats, it sucks and idk what to do.

we fogged the house, we have an exterminator spray outside the house annually, we put diatomaceous earth in our back yard, the cats take capstar pills, we bathe them, we put flea collars on them, we vacuum every day, we use flea sprays and powders on the carpets, we use dawn dish soap traps but they no longer kill the fleas. We brush the cats with flea combs daily even though they hate it. And this has been nearly EVERY DAY for 4 years that we have been actively trying to exterminate them. No home remidies, store bought remedies, or professional measures have helped. We are moving in a few months, but we are so tired and fear if we take our cats with us then the fleas will follow. But im not going to just get rid of my babies???

there has got to be something that works, pls help
