I work in a field that's entirely gig based, i.e., I'm paid for each job after it happens, I don't have a regular salaried position. Because of the coronavirus, I am out of work for at least a month, most likely longer, and now living off of my emergency fund.
However, my puppy is almost 6 months, and her spay is scheduled very soon. I'm afraid my emergency fund cannot cover her surgery, and still have enough left over to afford my bills for the foreseeable future. Thank God I have enough food for her to last a few months- but I'm really worried.
I don't think I'm going to be able to afford her spay, but she REALLY needs to get it on that date, before her first heat... I'm scared for the health of my dog and I feel like a shitty person. If it comes down to it, I'll pay for the surgery, and I will just have to figure out how to pay my bills, my mortgage...
Are there any financial resources out there that can help somebody in my situation, just to pay for my baby girl's surgery?
