I've recently adopted a little kitten, and I've seen people all over say that letting a kitten play scratch or play bite you is a bad thing, as the claws get sharper. This confuses me since I've had 4 other cats through out my life and never once had this happened, they were never taught any specific tricks or commands to not scratch and I never had an incident where a play session turned into pain. The new kitten also follows this trend, there's a clear difference between a "I'm playing a game with you" scatch/bite and a "Leave me alone already!" scratch/bite.
