Hey so I adopted a sweet pit bull girl from the shelter about 2 years ago. When I adopted her, they told me she was microchipped and they gave me the microchip Id. They also told me this microchip Id was registered with two companies: 24PetWatch & HomeAgain. So that all being said I have two questions:
- These two companies basically have an address/email/phone number associated with the microchip Id of my dog, which all are for the old owner. So I want to update the contact information with my information, however the website doesn't allow you to do that unless you pay for a premium membership. Any attempt to email or call them no one responds. I simply want them to have my information in case my pet gets lost...which leads to the next question...
- Suppose my dog does get lost and gets found by the police or vet, and they scan the microchip, and get the mircochip ID. Once they get that, how do they know to contact either 24PetWatch or HomeAgain to get the contact information associated with that microchip ID?
