My cat (8-9months old) won’t stop chewing my ears

Hi, Last year I got myself a cat - Ragdoll, girl, her name is Irene. She’s wonderful, behaves like a dog, my wife even managed to teach her how to play fetch. But there’s one thing that bothers me.

She chews on my ears whenever we go to sleep. It happens every.single.night. I’m woken up at 2-3am and later at 5-6am by a cat, who’s half asleep, sitting on my back/chest, purring, kneading and eating/sucking on my earlobe. It sounds weird but it is what it is.

Now, things that I’ve tried: 1. pushing her away - doesn’t work, cat behaves like a robot and comes back every time 2. letting her do her thing and hoping she’s going to get bored - nope, she can do it for an hour long before I have enough 3. putting some lemon juice on my earlobes - nope 4. closing the doors or covering my head with a quilt - she’s going to yell like hell

I’ve tried doing some research on the internet and the only thing about I found is that “cats grow out if it”, but my cat is already 8 months old, 3.5kg+, it’s not a kitten anymore. I’m afraid this is not going to disappear magically unless I do something.

Has any of you had a similar problem? Had did you solve it? I’ll be grateful for any advice.
