We got a cat in September. A few months ago, we tried to trim her nails using a method I saw suggested online--restraining her and holding the scruff of her neck while cutting her nails, but she was so upset by it that my partner got pretty well traumatized by it too. He now refuses to try again, even though I found some other things to try that might freak out our cat a lot less. So, cat owners, how do you cut your cat's nails? What works best and is least upsetting for you and your cats?
