So I recently got a 2 month old puppy, going on 3 months. However, he gets very whiny when I step out of my room for any amount of time for anything when he is in his kennel and he can't follow behind me. I'm not sure what to do other than well let him cry it out, but he's in my room so I do come back very often. I don't want him getting use to me always being there, so would it be a good idea to maybe put him in another room by himself, when he is in his kennel? Also I'm trying to puppy pad train him and he's got the peeing part down for the most part, he'll pee on the puppy pad (sometimes still pees on carpet) but he's isnt understanding that he also needs to poop on the puppy pad. I've been having to force him to sit back on the puppy pad when I notice he is trying to poop. Is there anything else I can do to try to get him to understand? Or is this more of just a patience thing?
