Had a random thought and would like your opinion. So we all know the situation we are in, dont really need to get into that. It has brought with it though... an influx of buying new pets to add a bit of cheer in these...weird times. Now I dont think this thought applies to older pets since they are already accustomed to things from before. It is focused on the adopting the youngins. Now that quarentine has many stuck at home with new baby animal,( Let's just assume we are contained for 3 months for the sake of argument) how is said baby animal going to cope with the extended absences when things go back to normal? I understand that animals get small absences like going to the grocery store or this or that, but what of the people who work at home for the time being but will then be gone for 8+hours. Baby animal probably has not experienced this. Is there a possibility that the young animals will gain a sort of seperation anxiety or potential acting out? Please correct my way of thinking if I am way off.
