hi guys. Kennel staff here - I’m in the US. I just wanted to make a post to REMOVE ALL OF YOUR ANIMALS FROM BOARDING ASAP, because there IS a possibility of veterinary centers/kennel centers shutting down, and there is ALSO the possibility that those who care for your animals who are boarding might get quarantined. And then your pet is stuck in a kennel, with no food, water, or anywhere to go to the bathroom.
To ensure the care of your pet please take them home.
We have a dog here that was boarding since February, and since then her owners decided they no longer want her and are looking for a new home - so she is being boarded indefinitely. Well. Let’s say no one comes for her and my region gets quarantined. Now what? The dog dies, that’s what.
UNLESS somebody who works here brings her home. Obviously we wouldn’t purposefully leave any animal here by themselves and let them die, but most of us here don’t make tons of money, nor have the room to be locked in a house with an unfamiliar animal. Spare us all some stress and just come get them.
