Hi, I’m 21 and I’m currently living with my parents. However, moving out is seeming like a very real thing, once Covid-19 is over. My relationship is steady with my boyfriend, and it’s just getting to that point where it may be time.
However, we have 8 cats. (We live in a big house, they’re all cared for weight wise, vet wise. I didn’t come here for that convo.)
One cat in particular, Abby, is attached to me. We foster-failed her and her two brothers at three weeks old. We bottle fed them, and raised them. (Edited to say that Abby turned two this month.)
Her attachment is like, separation anxiety attached. If she sees me leave, she will stand at the door and cry for an hour. If I go into a room and shut the door and she’s not with me, she’ll cry at the door until I let her in (which may be hours).
She doesn’t play with the other cats very much, and doesn’t really have any interest in them. She’s never curled up with them, she’s never playing with them. Two of them are even her litter mates.
Would it be okay with take her with me when I move out, despite her growing up in a multi-cat household?
