Fleas: did I act quickly enough or do I need to continue the combat?

Hi all,

We rescued a kitten Monday evening and on Tuesday lunchtime, I spotted one flea running through her fur. I checked her over and couldn’t find any others.

Tuesday afternoon, we gave her a bath using a bit of dish soap in the water then treated her with flea spot on by 6pm. We also combed her through with a flea comb

We’ve hoovered the house a few times and emptied the vacuum in the outside bin (cordless dyson), done a flea bomb in the front and back of the house, used a flea spray for the carpets/hard to reach places and washed all towels plus her bedding and ours.

Plan is to continue hoovering every day followed by respraying carpets etc, plus we will do some flea bombs in two weeks.

I feel like I’ve gone OTT but I do not want fleas in the house as I’ve experienced it before and it was horrendous.

Do you think we’ll be safe? This is my worst nightmare 😂
