I’m looking for some advice, my dog is 5 years old and I love him to death but he has been problematic since we got him. He has a lot of health issues, he’s had surgery numerous times, and we do everything we can to keep him healthy but I think he is in pain sometimes from these things. He’s very sweet but has a dark side- very protective over food, and he’s bit my family members before. We got 2 cats a couple months ago, and we thought he would get used to them bc we had a cat before. One cat in particular he does not like. I’ve seen him snap at her- like a warning bite, and she’s terrified of him. I watched him charge at her today after she was cowering away from him. I’ve kept my cats separate from him but I don’t know what to do. Any advice?
