I’d like to purchase a budgie as a first time pet owner.

I’ve been intending on purchasing a Budgie for a while, what should I know as a first time bird owner?

My single priority is the birds well-being, I am a student, outside of 8 hours 5 days a week + 6 hours spread across Friday after noon and Saturday Sunday morning I will mostly be home, what is a sufficient size bird cage? I intend to keep it in my bedroom, it is not spacious, what dimensions should the cage be, and what temperature/sunlight do I need to maintain for the birds wellbeing? How many toys should I supply it with? Is it recommended to keep a movie or something of the like playing for the budgie?
